Peachy Keen

Old Navy coral jeans, Vintage denim shirt, DV Dolce Vita Jamison boots, Fossil watch

If only the weather in Portland was as Springy as my new jeans! We've still got more rain to come here, but I am (naturally) determined to start wearing Spring clothes, starting with this awesome pair of skinnies that I picked up recently. They go with so much more than you'd think and I adore the color. I've been a busy bee lately, doing things like buying used cars (well, only one), getting ready to move into a new apartment, and getting into a groove at my swanky new job at Trapit! If you haven't heard of it yet, take a few minutes to check it out, and think of it as Pandora for web content. Varied web content on subjects you love, coming to you with very little effort, how great is that? I'm the new Lifestyle Section Editor (woot!) and can verify that it's awesome for many many reasons. Shameless plug over. :)

In Your Light

H&M faux fur & leather coat, Gap legging jeans, Forever 21 blanket sweater, Dolce Vita Jamison booties

In attempt to push past the winter blogging blues, this is the result of a few post-work shots now that it is actually a bit light out when I head home around 5 everyday. I splurged on these Dolce Vita booties and I'm so glad I did. They are beautiful and unlike any other shoes that I currently have, which is a good thing. Plus, they are comfortable enough to wear all day, which to me is an important concern. This coat was one of my better steals of the season. I had been eyeing it at the $80 price tag and walked in one day to see it on sale for $20. Yes, please!

I'll update on my life via more Instagram photos soon, but the basics of my winter have been usual days at work, weekend trips to the columbia gorge to see the boyfriend, a little bit of snow, lots of good food, and a wonderfully-spent 24th birthday wine tasting and movie-watching.

PS - sorry about the low quality photos, the lighting created some problems. :)

Cozy knits for winter - a real outfit post!

Gap sweater, scarf, and jeans. Old Navy suede wedges.

I finally got it together to do a winter outfit post. It's been a while, I know. It's nothing revolutionary, but I've been wearing this cozy sweater a lot lately and little wedges like these are perfect for a dose of winter style on days when it's not pouring here in Oregon.

This giant circle scarf is perfect, too. I've been looking for one just like it for a while now, and it was just calling my name at the Gap after-Christmas sale. We had a little snow here last week, it's too bad I didn't manage to get an outfit post in; the snow never lasts very long here. If it happens again then I will get my chance!

Instagram update: winter

For those of you who don't follow me on Instagram or Twitter already, here is a little update of what I have been up to this winter. It's been dark and difficult for outfit photos, although I admit I haven't been trying too hard. But I have been taking lots of photos with my new-ish iPhone 4S (love!) so I will be sharing those until daylight allows for more outfit posts. It's been a good winter season, with lots of good food, relaxation, trips to The Dalles, and even some snow!

While I love taking my DSLR places, I admit that I am loving always having a solid 8-megapixel camera in my pocket and the Instagram app for a little post-processing. It's certainly my favorite app.
